Linz’s Musings – How to Recharge
G’day all
Happy Friday as this year keeps getting stranger and stranger!
This weekend in Melbourne we have a public holiday for a football game final. Not on the day of the game, the day before. The game isn’t in Melbourne, it’s in Brisbane…
A week later, we will have another holiday for a horse race, which we cannot attend.
Not that I’m complaining as a couple of down days to recharge the batteries will do nicely.
In fact, it highlights a good point: we cannot be go, go, go all the time. We all need down time to relax and literally recharge.
You’re probably saying “Lindsay, I have hardly worked a quarter this year…” or thinking some time away from business is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Here in Victoria, we are still unable to travel any distance from home. So the thought of a weekend away, camping, a holiday has us chafing at the bit.
What do you do to recharge? Mediation? Reading? Journaling? Or just time away from work, spending a nice meal with family and friends?
It’s important for a ‘work/life balance’. We not only focus on our work when we need to but able to focus on our loved ones during the time we’re not working.
Whether it is unusual public holidays, a weekend away, or just scheduling time in your calendar for family, this is as critical as the proposal you need to present.
In an extremely crazy year like 2020, balancing work and life can be the difference between basking in success and climbing the walls in frustration.
How do you find the best way to recharge those batteries? Let me know!
You got this!
Happy Investing all and have a great weekend!
